Dengue Prevention Begins with Awareness: Orientation and Planning Session Held in Khulna

Rongmohol For Youth participated in the Orientation & Planning Session on Dengue Prevention and Community Awareness held on 18 August 2026 at Khulna Shilpakala Academy. The session brought together government representatives, UNICEF representatives, youth volunteers and community-based youth organisations to strengthen understanding of dengue prevention and prepare young volunteers for community-level awareness activities. As part of the initiative, 30 youth representatives from Rongmohol For Youth were engaged to support dengue prevention and awareness activities across Khulna City Corporation, Rupsha Upazila and Phultala Upazila. Key Objectives The session aimed to: * Build knowledge among youth volunteers on dengue prevention and control. * Orient volunteers on community engagement and awareness approaches. * Prepare youth teams for door-to-door awareness activities, community sessions and public campaigns. * Strengthen collaboration between government, UNICEF and youth-led organisations. * Develop a coordinated approach to dengue prevention at the community level. Key Message “No Panic, Awareness is the Strength to Prevent Dengue.” The orientation marked the beginning of a collaborative youth-led dengue prevention initiative in Khulna.
